Shark Tenderloin Pop - Shark Cartilage & Beef Tendon Dog Chew Treat (p/unit)
Hard, crunchy and seriously satisfying — a natural chew with a little more staying power.
Our Shark Tenderloin Pop combines crunchy shark cartilage with a firm outer wrapping of beef tendon, creating a tougher, more structured chew than plain shark cartilage alone.
The shark cartilage itself can generally be crunched through relatively easily, while the beef tendon wrapped around the outside forms a firmer, more resistant layer that takes more work to chew through.
The result is a rigid, satisfying natural chew that may last longer than plain cartilage — although, as every dog is different, how long it lasts will depend entirely on your dog’s size, chewing style and enthusiasm!
A great natural alternative to conventional dental-style chews for dogs who enjoy something firm, crunchy and satisfying to get their teeth into.

Ingredients:
Shark cartilage, beef tendon.
Contains two animal proteins: shark and beef.
If your dog has known food allergies or is following a single-protein or elimination diet, please keep this in mind when choosing their treats.
What's Inside & Why It Matters:
We like knowing what we're feeding our dogs and why, so here's a little more about the two simple ingredients that make up this chew.
Shark Cartilage
Shark cartilage naturally contains chondroitin sulfate, along with collagen and other components that make up cartilage.
Chondroitin is a naturally occurring component of healthy cartilage and is also an ingredient commonly used in canine joint-support supplements.
We don't consider a natural treat a replacement for a measured joint supplement or veterinary treatment — the amount of naturally occurring chondroitin will vary from chew to chew — but shark cartilage provides a natural dietary source of these cartilage-derived compounds.
Beef Tendon
Tendon is a tough connective tissue that is naturally rich in collagen, a structural protein found throughout the body.
It is this dense, fibrous collagen structure that gives beef tendon its characteristic toughness and creates the firmer outer layer around the shark cartilage.
Together, the two ingredients provide very different textures: crunchy cartilage on the inside and dense, fibrous tendon around the outside.
Size & Texture:
Each Shark Tenderloin Pop is approximately 15cm long and 5cm thick, although size, shape and thickness will naturally vary from piece to piece.
The centre is made from hard, crunchy shark cartilage, while the beef tendon wrapped around the outside creates a firmer, more rigid outer layer.
While the cartilage can generally be chomped through reasonably easily, the tendon requires more chewing and helps give the treat a more substantial, longer-lasting structure.
These chews are quite rigid and are not easy to break apart by hand.
How It's Sold:
Shark Tenderloin Pops are sold individually, per unit.
As this is a natural product, each piece will vary slightly in size, shape, thickness and weight. The approximate dimensions are provided as a guide only.

For Smaller Dogs:
Smaller dogs can absolutely enjoy a Shark Tenderloin Pop, but they may not need an entire piece at once.
Simply allow your dog to enjoy the chew during a short supervised chewing session, then remove it and save the remainder for another day.
If you would prefer to make smaller portions in advance, the chew can also be carefully cut into sections using a small hacksaw or suitable hand saw.
Always check any cut edges before offering the chew to your dog.
How Long Will It Last?
There is no guaranteed chew time with natural treats.
A gentle or moderate chewer may work on one over several sessions, while a particularly determined power-chewer may make much quicker work of it.
Your dog's size, jaw strength and chewing style will all influence how long the chew lasts.
Suitable For:
Dogs who enjoy firm, crunchy and more substantial natural chews.
Choose a chew appropriate for your dog's size, chewing style and experience. Smaller dogs or dogs new to harder chews may be better suited to shorter supervised chewing sessions.
Feeding Guide:
Feed as an occasional treat or chew as part of a balanced diet.
Always supervise your dog while chewing and ensure fresh water is available.
Remove the chew if it becomes small enough to swallow whole, develops sharp edges, or if your dog attempts to swallow large pieces.
Because this is a particularly firm natural chew, it may not be suitable for every dog, including dogs with damaged or compromised teeth, existing dental disease or a tendency to attempt to swallow chews whole.
If you're unsure whether a hard chew is appropriate for your dog, check with your veterinarian.
Spitz Groom Tip:
Think of this as a step up from plain shark cartilage.
The cartilage provides the satisfying crunch, while the beef tendon wrapped around the outside adds a firmer, more resistant layer for dogs who like to settle in and really work on their chew.
For smaller dogs, offer it for shorter supervised sessions and simply save the rest for another day.
Crunchy. Firm. Naturally satisfying.
A thoughtfully selected natural chew for dogs who like something with a little more substance.
