Australian Business Credit Card Online Transactions and Security and Privacy Statement for Customers

Spitz Groom ensures the security and privacy of credit card online transactions for all our customers. This includes robust security measures, such as PCI DSS compliance, to protect cardholder data. Spitz Groom also adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988, which require Spitz Groom to collect, use, and manage personal information lawfully, securely, and in accordance with customer consent.

Spitz Groom regularly reviews our data security practices, conducts regular audits, and ensures that any third-party service providers handling cardholder data are also PCI DSS compliant. Spitz Groom believes it is crucial to have a clear communication strategy with our customers about the security of their personal information and the measures that Spitz Groom are taking to protect it.

 

💳 Payment Information & Card Requirement Update

Please note: As of 1st January 2026, Spitz Groom has upgraded our payment platform. As a result, all clients are required to re-enter their credit card details into the new secure system.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this transition.

 

 

🐾 Card-on-File Policy

All clients are required to have a valid credit card saved to their profile.

A card on file allows us to:

  • Fairly manage late cancellations and no-shows.

  • Reduce missed payment risk.

  • Maintain reliable appointment availability for all clients.

  • Support a sustainable, low-volume grooming schedule.

This policy helps us continue offering a calm, high-quality grooming experience for every dog in our care.



🔒 Your Payment Security

We understand that entering card details online requires trust. Your security is extremely important to us.

Please be assured:

  • Card details are entered directly into our encrypted booking system.

  • Spitz Groom does not see or store your full card number.

  • All card data is securely held by our PCI-compliant payment provider.

  • We do not take booking deposits.



💰 How Your Card is Used

When adding your card, a temporary $0.50 pre-authorisation may appear on your account.

Please note:

  • This charge is automatically refunded.

  • It is used only to validate your card details.

  • It does not represent a payment or deposit.


Your card will only be charged in the following cases:

  • Late cancellation (within 24 hours of appointment).

  • No-show.

  • Missed payment following an appointment.

 

At checkout, you may choose:

  • To use the card on file, or

  • To pay using an alternative method.


For regular clients, we can optionally enable automatic payment processing at checkout (available on request).



💳 How to Add Your Card Details

Prefer not to use a direct link? You can manually update your details anytime:

  1. Visit Spit Groom - Spitz Groom Website

  2. From the top menu, select BOOKINGS → Book Now (Existing Clients).

  3. Click the Book Now button.

  4. Sign in using your mobile number.

    • If multiple owners are listed, use the primary caregiver’s number.

  5. Select Payment.

  6. Choose Add Payment Method.

  7. Enter your card details and click Save.

A temporary $0.50 validation charge may appear and will be automatically refunded.
