At Spitz Groom, we provide expert, compassionate grooming for all coat types, with a specialist focus on double-coated and long-coated breeds.

Our salon is located at 643 Nicholson Street, Carlton North, Victoria, where we deliver calm, high-quality grooming in a carefully structured environment designed for canine wellbeing.

While we are best known for our expertise in Spitz breeds including; Pomeranians, Japanese Spitz, German Spitz, Keeshonds, Samoyeds, and Huskies, however we warmly welcome dogs of all coat types, including curly and clipped breeds such as Poodles, Cavoodles, and more.

For double-coated breeds, we do not shave. Shaving can permanently damage coat structure and interfere with natural temperature regulation. Instead, we use specialist techniques that support healthy shedding and preserve coat integrity.

For single-coated and continuously growing coats, such as Poodles and similar breeds, regular trimming or clipping is not only appropriate but often essential for ongoing coat and skin health.
