Plush Puppy Coat Saver Collars are long lasting collars that do not cut or destroy the coat.

Plush Puppy Coat Saver Collars are a semi check/choker that slips over the head but is hard to slip off.

Good control when exercising and safe and easy to clip on to the leash with a strong welded ring.

Suitable: Plush Puppy Coat Saving Collars are ideal for show dogs who do not want coats and ruffs ruined.

Made from: These collars are hand made from long lasting plaited/woven climbing rope and are durable and colour fast. We have found their sizing does vary somewhat from the guide below, so if you are unsure of what size to choose, feel free to schedule a drop-by visit to try on a few different sizes, or alternatively let us know the largest circumfrence (in cm) of your dogs head. The coat saver collar is designed to slip over your dogs head and sit around the neck rather loosely, but not too loose that they can pull their head out of it.

  • XXS = 26cm
  • XS = 33cm
  • S = 36cm
  • M = 43cm
  • L = 47cm
  • XL = 58cm
  • XXL = 69cm

How to measure the widest circumfrence of your dogs head:

  1. Find the thickest part of the head.
  2. Take a flexible measuring tape and measure the head circumference in cm.
  3. Do this three times, making sure you remove the measuring tape between measurements.
  4. We recommend using the largest measurement of the three.

If you would like to go the extra level with measurements, create a 'mock up' collar with a little bit of scrap string or rope. To do this:
    1. measure out your string or rope to be a few cms longer than the largest measurement of the three.
    2. Tie the two ends together, making sure the internal circumfrence is a match to the largest measurement.
    3. Test slipping this over your dogs head to make sure it can get over, but also to ensure it is not sitting so loose that it can be easily pulled off and over the head of your dog.

*Note that if your dog is full of dead coat, the collar may be quite tight on their neck. If possible, it's best to measure when they have been freshly groomed and deshed (or you could have a few different sizes available for your dog depending on how fluffy they are)
