Chicken

Each Chicken Twist consists of firm shark cartilage wrapped in strips of chicken tender.

The cartilage itself is hard and crunchy but can generally be chomped through relatively easily by an experienced chewer. The chicken outer layer is firmer than ordinary dried meat but does not create the same rigid outer structure as beef tendon.

This gives the Chicken Twist a satisfying combination of meaty, firm and crunchy textures.

For Smaller Dogs:

These are not particularly easy to break apart neatly by hand because of the cartilage centre.

Smaller dogs can still enjoy them by having the treat for a short supervised chewing session, after which it can be removed and saved for another day.

If you would prefer smaller portions, the treat may also be carefully cut into sections using a suitable small hand saw or hacksaw.

Always inspect any cut edges before offering the treat to your dog.

How Long Will It Last?

There is no guaranteed chew time with natural treats.

The cartilage provides a satisfying crunch, but an enthusiastic chewer may work through one relatively quickly. A smaller or more leisurely chewer may take considerably longer or enjoy the same piece across multiple sessions.
