With so many dryers available on the market, it is easy to feel overwhelmed with choice. To simplify this, we only sell dryers that we actually use ourselves.
We recommend using 'blow force' as a metric for comparison, and have included this metric on all dryer listings.

Comparison with 'eBay' dryers:
While the pet dryers freely available on eBay (and similar sites) for ~$100 are good entry level dryers, they are 100% consumable which means if they break, the whole thing needs to be thrown out.
The power of the cheap dryers is on the lower scale too - we have measured their blow force to be ~400g which is not powerful enough to get through the thicker coats such as heavy Japanese Spitz coats, Samoyed or Malamutes.

Maintenance:
Something you may not have considered is maintenance. The motor of this dryer contains carbon brushes (38mm) which will need to be serviced approximately every 800 hours of use. Keeping brushes serviced will extend the life of your dryer as once the brushes have worn through, damage to the motor will start to take place,
